Today you will be creating a simple file to serve as the start of your
personal web page.
If you need to refresh your working knowledge of pico, please refer
to the UNIX worksheet.
You should also refer to this worksheet if you have not opened access to your personal homepage yet.
You may find the Brief Look at HTML
and the SCEN103 HTML Help Page
to be of some assistance.
Use pico to edit a file called index.html in your subdirectory
called public_html. If you do not wish to overwrite your exising index.html,
create a file of a different name and e-mail its name to me.
- Second step: to exercise your ability to write HTML code, I would like you
to add an unordered list of the courses in which
you are registered this semester.
- Third step: add a hyperlink
to SCEN103 from your homepage.
- Final step: view your work from Netscape Navigator. If satisfactory,
have me check it for final approval. If not satisfactory, please repeat the
steps above until a satisfactory appearance of your homepage results.
