Talk guidelines
- Talks can not exceed 15 slides.
- Talks must be clear enough so the students in the class can understand them.
- The fonts in ALL MATERIAL (including figures) must be large enough for everyone in the class to clearly see.
- Talks must have a conclusion slide.
- If you find yourself running out of time skip part of the technical description without interrupting the flow
of the talk and move to the conclusion slide. DO NOT skip the conclusion slide.
- Speak clearly and loudly enough for you to be heard by the entire class. Make sure
your presentation is flowing smoothly, without long pauses, and is logically coherent (practicing the entire talk is the best way to establish that).
- You must use at least 3 non-textbook sources of the material and make proper references.
- If the talk is a part of your research work which was conducted together with other research group members
it must be stated and all authors must be listed.
- You are responsible for the explanation of the material on your slides, meaning that you have to be able to coherently explain everything in your talk.
- All material must be in proper scientific English. (Proofread!)
