Matt F. DeCamp

My research focuses on the study of ultrafast dynamics of complex systems. Specifically, I am interested in the structural changes related to metal binding and how this binding affects protein folding. I plan to use and develop new time resolved x-ray spectroscopy techniques to study the dynamics of metal binding. These studies will eventually lead to the study of more complex systems, such as the conformational dynamics of small proteins.
