My research focuses on the study of ultrafast dynamics of complex systems. Specifically, I am interested in the structural changes related to metal binding and how this binding affects protein folding. I plan to use and develop new time resolved x-ray spectroscopy techniques to study the dynamics of metal binding. These studies will eventually lead to the study of more complex systems, such as the conformational dynamics of small proteins. EDUCATION
