Yi Ji, at left, is interested in spintronic materials, spin-dependent electron transport in nanoscale systems, and prototype spintronic devices.

Matt DeCamp’s research focuses on the ultrafast structural dynamics of complex systems in both liquid and solid phases using x-ray spectroscopy techniques to study the structural reorganization of molecules upon metal binding, and picosecond conformational dynamics of peptides and proteins with sub-Angstrom resolution.

Jamie Holder’s research interests are in high energy astrophysics, in particular in ground-based gamma-ray astronomy. He is currently involved with the VERITAS collaboration which is constructing an array of four atmospheric Cherenkov telescopes in Arizona.
