Graduation Commencement

UD » Physics & Astronomy » Events » Introduction

Colloquia

The colloquium is held every Wednesday at 4:00. All faculty, research staff, graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to attend the colloquium. The colloquium is preceeded by a tea at 3:30 in the Commons Room of Sharp Laboratory. The format is a 45 minute presentation followed by 15 minutes of discussion. Open, but respectful, inquiry is encouraged from all who attend.

Seminars

Seminars are held through the week and are intended to allow more technical communication between scientists in specialized research areas.

Commencement and Convocation

The graduating class is honored every year at commencement and a convocation lunch in the department. All physics and astronomy graduates are invited to bring family and close personal friends to the convocation lunch at the department. RSVP can be sent to the department office.

Conferences

The department is glad to host small conferences. Campus facilities include Clayton Hall and other accommodations.
