Fields of Research

Quantum computation with neutral atoms. Quantum logic gates. Design considerations for fast Rydberg quantum gate.

Weak interactions in heavy atoms. Calculations of the parity-nonconserving amplitude and subsequent determination of the weak charge QW and nuclear anapole moment. Atomic electric-dipole moment.

High-precision relativistic calculations of various atomic properties such as energy levels,electric-dipole matrix elements, hyperfine constants, isotope shifts, dispersion coefficients, and polarizabilities. Many-body perturbation theory and all-order methods.

Application of high-performance computing to large-scale atomic physics calculations. Development of analytical calculation codes and automatic generation of FORTRAN codes for atomic physics calculations.
