Interested in a career in physics, astronomy or physics education?

graph

Approximately one-half of all U. S. physics bachelors graduates in 2000 go immediately into a career with 97% of the graduates finding jobs by the winter following their graduation. The other one-half of physics bachelor graduates continued their education in graduate school. The pie chart gives the fractional breakdown of physics BA and BS graduates taking jobs with various kinds of employers.

There are many resources to help you find the best position following your graduation. You may find help locally at the career services center and there are many national resources (see links below) that track job opportunities and growth areas in the United States.
